Work. We all do it. It's what happens after receiving your diploma. It is your income, it is your motivation, and it is what will further your knowledge through experience. Whether it will be a job at Mcdonald's or on the executive board of a billion dollar company, work is work. Depends really how you look at it of course. I see it as, how much work did you put into getting that job? How much are you willing to put into that job? and of course, how did you get that job. The difference between my definition and the others is that they are basing it of statistics and business assumptions. If I have learned anything from my Principles of Management class, its this; There are tens of thousands of business assumptions and many or most of them will fail. Therefore, how can we just say that foreigners are going to take our jobs? Because they are cheap? They are cheap because of the service they get and the skills they lack. If you get payed well, that's because you have skill, are well-educated and have motivation to improve yourself.

Design Plan for Photo Essay

Design Plan for Photo Essay
Medium: For this photo essay I will be using either
prezi.com or PowerPoint for my medium. Prezi.com is a fun and creative way to
show slideshows by using shapes like circles or squares. Also, it has a variety
of fun backgrounds to use absolutely free. My ladder, PowerPoint, is a rather
better alternative because it is what most people are used to. Plus, there is much
more options to choose from and it is also free.
Arrangement: My
arrangement will consist of multiple photos. To switch things up, I was
thinking of shooting everything in first- person. I want to do that because I
think it is unique photography and also it will be easier to follow through the
story line. Secondly, the narration will consist of both captions and a
paragraph on each slide. I will have a narrative on the first slide, and
captions will be underneath each photograph.
Strategies: As I
explained in my statement of purpose, my essay will argue that video gaming
during school days distracts students from their education. I will use target segmentation so my essay will be easier to
follow. What I mean is, by targeting a certain group, which will be my section
mates in Pope Hall, will make my argument easier to pertain to. Ill be taking pictures of: us playing video
games, not being able to sleep, distracted from doing homework, how many game
systems there are, etc.
Ethos- I need to show the importance on why gaming during
the school days is distracting and show the outcome of it. From personal
experience, I know gaming distracts education and I need to get my peers to see
that I truly do know what I am talking about.
Pathos- To clarify, my thoughts on this topic are personal
because I can relate to this matter. I claim this topic to be used with serious
emotions, as it is a serious topic to write about.
Logos- I will be as serious as possible and reason with
logic to the greatest extent.

Photo Essay Reflection
Well, well... This was a totally new experience for me. I have NEVER done an essay where photography was the main focus. Make sure it's centered right, framed, etc... I truly did enjoy doing it though. I mean, my first idea about how music can help make new friends as an upcoming freshman was not a success. It would have been if it was a persuasive essay and with out visual context. So, I couldn't figure out what kind of pictures to take. So I completely turned the tables and talked about how video games are distracting to college students during school days. Now, I chose this topic because I had support for it by using my own personal experience to explain my accusation. I truly think it went well, although, I think I could of done it better on Powerpoint then Prezi.com. I used Prezi because I thought it would be creative, since no one else did use it. Anyways, It was fun to do and I would recommend to do this to a class in 4 more years. I can tell this is an evolution kind of thing and that it is your theory that this is the generation to do it...But honestly, it isn't quite ready for our generation.
